SSI Payment Schedule for December 2025: Here’s When Your Check Arrives

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients follow a different payment schedule from regular Social Security retirement, survivors, or SSDI beneficiaries.
As the year ends, many seniors and disability beneficiaries want to know exactly when their December 2025 SSI payment will arrive.
When Will SSI Be Paid in December 2025?
For December, the SSI schedule remains simple: Your SSI payment will be deposited on Monday, December 1, 2025.
SSI is always paid on the first day of the month, unless that date falls on a weekend or federal holiday. In 2025, December 1 falls on a Monday, so payments arrive right on time.
If You Receive Both SSI and Social Security
Some beneficiaries receive both SSI and Social Security. In that case, payments come on two separate dates:

SSI Payment: Monday, December 1, 2025

Social Security Payment: Wednesday, December 3, 2025
This only applies to people whose Social Security benefits were approved before May 1997.

What to Do if Your Payment Is Late
The Social Security Administration asks beneficiaries to wait three additional mailing days before reporting a late payment.
After that, you may contact SSA directly.
